This is a call to action!

Attached is a copy of a letter from the Forest Service inviting the public to a Scoping Meeting on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 5:30 pm at the Lighthouse Inn in Crescent City. It is in regards to their proposed road closures which they are now calling the Restoration and Motorized Travel Management Plan. Which means roads they want to close and restoration means roads and trails they want to return back to nature by bulldozing them and planting vegetation.

Please get the word out. We need to show our interest in keeping access to our roads and trails!

They have prepared a scoping packet, which includes the proposed action summary and maps, and is available at the Gasquet Ranger District, the Supervisor's Office and at the main branch libraries of Del Norte County and Humboldt County. You may also access the Scoping Packet from the Forest's website at http://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/srnf/srnra. The public is invited to comment during the 45-day comment period. Comments must be received on or before June 4, 2012.
